Meet the owner: Lorraine Sena

When it comes to making healthy choices, Lorraine Sena, owner of The Bucket Nutrition in Pawtucket, knows firsthand how difficult it can be to get started. With a background in healthcare, Sena shares, “As my career grew, so did my waistline, and I definitely came back from college with freshmen 15... maybe 30. I tried all the diets to lose weight but it was an endless cycle of lose, gain, restart.”

When her father passed away unexpectedly, she was left feeling numb. “I went back to the office after two weeks and found myself buying a coffee every morning, junk food from Dollar Tree around lunch, and then something random for dinner – if I ate at all.” She knew something had to change.

Sena became an Herbalife distributor in August of 2021 became the proud owner of The Bucket Nutrition, where she can do what she loves most – help people feel good about themselves. Guests can enjoy a menu of tasty shakes, refreshing teas, high-protein coffee, and more.Born and raised in Rhode Island to immigrant parents, Sena’s love of marketing and work ethic was forged at a young age helping her father with his own company. Having worked for Gateway Healthcare, Care New England, and Blackstone Valley Community Health Care, Sena grew intimately familiar with the needs of the Pawtucket and Central Falls community. With The Bucket Nutrition, she explains, “the growth and possibility is what motivates me, and I get to continue to give back to a community that I have been advocating for since I graduated.”

And, since committing to her own health and weight loss goals, Sena has lost 80 pounds. “The possibilities are endless, but we are our own road blocks,” she says. “Even on the days I want to quit, I keep my eye on the prize and I just keep showing up.”
